One Of Those Days In NYC... In Queens

On Monday June 11th mid afternoon as I step out of the podiatrists clinic. My right foot is still kinda numb and sore due to the soft cast I have to wear for the duration in May and June. The doctor recommend either go for physical therapy or just moving your joint on your right foot much as possible. So I decided to move it much as possible and if the pain still persist for a month I have to go back for another check up.

Afterward I decided to stop by my local CitiBank to deposit some money at 25-47 Parsons Blvd since is about few blocks away from my house. As I step out the bank and turned left corner toward my parking spot around 1450 hours or slight before. I heard a huge metallic clinking sound like the one when a huge truck makes when they drive through those steel plate that cover pot holes or ditches on the road. I got curious and turned around the corner, what I see is something unbelievable. Someone actually drove their car pass the curb and ran through Ridgewood bank.

Who ever drove their car had enter at least 6 to 10 feet into this bank (or office) from the angle where I was standing. I think a middle age man right next to me called the cop. There were some smoke and shatter glasses and bend aluminum framing from the windows and doors from the bank. Few minutes later I heard a scream coming from a woman in the store. About 5 to 10 minutes later NYPD's ESU, FDNY and some two ambulance arrived. At the time I heard there were one injured person from one of the fireman. I felt guilty and like a retard just be a bystander and watching this ordeal/carnage and left after they arrived. Below is the link that cover this incident at
http://www.wnbc.com/news/13482387/detail.html .

Similar incidents happen in Manhattan, Brooklyn, Bronx through out this year on the news. It make me wonder. Well. Glad it wasn't me that got hurt and I didn't parked my car around that area. It will be really something hit by a car in May and anther time in June. I wonder "what would be the chance of that?". That remind me I should go take EMT classes and become certified as an EMT at Laguardia Community College or some where else. The knowledge of that might come in handy someday at long as I don't get any lawsuits from the victims that I am trying to help.
