As of today the 28th of December 2013 I'm officially honorable discharged from the U.S Army. I took my ETS terminal leave back on the 26th of November. A lot of things happened over this four years while I was on active duty. I'm glad I'm out of nonsenses but my time in Afghanistan was semi enjoyable and pleasant. The event that took a heavy burden on me has to be the unexpected passing of my dad less than a month before I got out. My dad's passing could of be prevented but due to his stubbornness. If he had checking him self in the hospital from the advice from the doctor while down in Georgia he probably still be alive today. It has to be one of the worst news for my mom since it was on her birthday. I have to suck it up and drive on and help my mom take care of the rest and create a future for my self.
I ran upon this article on LA Time website
http://www.latimes.com/world/la-fg-afghanistan-armor-20131227,0,5362453.story#axzz2oj2olBI0 just couple billions in trash bin for scrap metals. Also I wonder how accurate is this website
http://nationalpriorities.org/cost-of/ I have a mix feeling about this and our current situation with Afghanistan.
